If you lived for some years in Germany you could have the requirements to ask for the german passport.

The basic requirements for the german citizenship are:

• some years legal residency in Germany (between 3 and 8 years, depending on your situation)
• no criminal conviction
• German knowledge at least level B1
• sufficient income
• permanent residency permit or some kind of limited residency permit
